When babies are born, their diets are pretty simple, mostly mother's milk
or milk formulas. As they get older and become more able to chew, babies'
diets expand. Nutritionists say it's important for parents to help their
youngsters develop good eating habits. They say children with well-rounded
diets are more likely to eat well, and less likely to overeat, as adults.

By offering a disturbing portrait of a typical high school gang member struggling to make something more of his life, this youth produced-documentary—a joint project of WBEZ Chicago Public Radio and Radio Arte WRTE—gives voice to the challenges that at-risk Latinos in Chicagoland communities face.
