KSTX-FM, Texas Public Radio in San Antonio, TX, partnered with the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (SAMHD) to address the highest teenage pregnancy rates in the nation by developing a six-part series called Caring for the Children of Children: Teen Pregnancy in San Antonio.
Healthy Weight in Preschool Children
Many preschool children are obese and the numbers of children with child-onset diabetes due to poor diet is climbing. WCMU and Community Coordinated Child Care (4C) in Michigan addressed these issues through TV spots aired between children's programs, radio reports, professional development training, and printed materials for parents and caregivers.
Bringing Health to the Heartland for Immigrant Children
KUNI/KHKE, in collaboration with Global Health Corps and Radio Postville, produced Bringing Health to the Heartland for Immigrant Children, a series of culturally appropriate children's health programs in Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, and English for immigrant and refugee families in rural Iowa communities.
Crossing Borders: Health Care Messages for Maine's Immigrant Communities
Learn how WMPG-FM in Portland, ME and the City of Portland Public Health delivered child health-care information to several local immigrant communities in their native languages, including Spanish, Russian, Serbo-Croat, Khmer, Somali, and Vietnamese.
Bringing Up Baby
KXCV/KRNW, in Maryville, MO, partnered with many organizations, including the NW Missouri Regional Council of Government, Community Solution for Rural Health of Nodaway County, heartland Regional Community Foundation, and NWMSU Center for Applied Research to discuss infant health care.
Growing Up Healthy
KPBX and the Pacific Northwest Inlander Growing Up Healthy was an initiative to promote children's health in eastern Washington communities. The partners explored public policy, citizen involvement, and let people know about health care resources. KPBX broadcast feature-length news reports and commentaries exploring the issues as well as call-in programs. The Pacific Northwest Inlander provided bimonthly coverage and a report on children's health.
Health Raps
Arkansas Educational Television Network and Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families collaborated on Health Raps, a children's health initiative targeting 12 children's health issues in Arkansas, which lags behind most other states when it comes to children's health. The initiative used bilingual rap tunes as PSAs, an educational program, a discussion guide, and six local health fairs.

Alaska Public Radio Network (KBRW-AM), in Anchorage, AK partnered with the Women, Infant and Children's (WIC) nutrition program, the Alaska Native Health Board, and Chugachmuit to promote better health care for Alaskan children.
“The Whole Child”
KGNU and the People's Clinic produced a multifaceted radio series, The Whole Child, that broadened their community's understanding of what it means to have healthy children and what it takes to keep them healthy. The programs explored topics from prenatal care and infant issues to the many aspects of being a healthy teenager.
