Local Voices is the bi-monthly, multi-media publication from Sound Partners featuring stories, images, audio and video from our projects across the country. Both Local Voices and our former newsletter, Vibrations, tell the stories behind the stories, offering links to learn more about the topic of each publication.
This 22-page PDF tells the story of Sound Partners and highlights its replicable qualities through an overview of the program and vignettes about three grantees. We invite you to read this report and imagine what could happen across the United States if more individuals had access to the resources and skills to tell their own stories, be heard and respected and take action to improve their lives.
In this issue we explore how our partners helped transform individuals and their communities.
The fourth in a series focuses on the use of storytelling as a tool for community action.
Third in a series of publications based on the six principles of Sound Partners for Community Health: Local Media, Storytelling, Partnerships, Empowerment, Vulnerable Populations and Social Marketing.
The second in a series of publications on partnerships addressing health issues in communities across the country.
The premier issue of our online multimedia publication.
