WBEZ's Viviendo En Mi Mundo (Living In My Own World) introduces listeners to young Latinos who daily live with gang violence, racism, and lack of positive role models. By offering a disturbing portrait of a typical high school gang member struggling to make something more of his life, this youth produced-documentary—a joint project of WBEZ Chicago Public Radio and Radio Arte WRTE—gives voice to the challenges that at-risk Latinos in Chicagoland communities face.
